We Are Here To Serve You
First Church Nursery School is located in Swampscott, Massachusetts. We provide a quality education in a nurturing environment for the children of the church and of the community.
All families are welcome here, whether you live in Swampscott, or any of the surrounding areas and regardless of your religious affiliation. Our intention is to provide a program where growth through socialization and play along with an introduction to structured activities helps prepare young children for the road ahead.
Our Mission
We provide a quality education in a nurturing, loving and caring environment for the children of the New England community. Come visit and experience our warm, enriched center where life values are taught through example and gentle encouragement.
Our Curriculum
The goal of our program is to help children become enthusiastic, life long learners. Through “hands-on” learning centers and “open-ended” activities, we encourage them to be active, creative explorers as well as independent, self-confident, and inquisitive. An emphasis is placed on introducing children to quality literature and developing a love of reading. We want children to love school and everything it has to offer.
Our Culture
Our Philosophy: The philosophy that drives our classroom design and curriculum at First Church Nursery School is an understanding that young children learn best by doing. Play is the “work” of children. As they interact with classroom materials, nature, other children and adults, they begin to make sense of their world and build confidence in their abilities.
Our Environment: First Church Nursery School is a cheerful, bright and busy place where children and caring adults are growing together. We strive to maintain an atmosphere that supports families in all stages of development, celebrates diversity and promotes Christian values.
